Throw a royal dance ball to sweep your little princess off her feet!
Palatial party place in a real ballroom.
Light-up tiaras, princess party makeup, a bejeweled throne, and “real” princesses to dance with— Positively enchanting!

Imagine: the moment she walks in she’s crowned Belle of the Ball with a bejeweled, light-up tiara. Her little eyes pop as she sees the palatial space— a real grown-up ballroom swimming with colored lights. This must have been how Cinderella felt when she first walked into the ball: a dream come true!

Princess Invitations
We dress your little princess up (ballgown & boa? tiara & tutu?), do her hair and make-up, primp and fawn, and treat her royally at her grand photo session.
Ornate “You Are Invited to the Ball” invitations are imprinted with her highness’ photo—in bright pink, of course—each adorned appropriately with pink princess tattoos and crowned frog prince stickers.
An 8×10 glossy photograph of your birthday princess dancing in the disco lights is given to you as a keepsake along with your invitations order. (Photo from this session can also be used for a princess photo cake; see below)

Princess Birthday Dance
Nothing makes her feel more like a princess than being swept off her feet—literally. In planning the party we ask the birthday girl to tell us her favorite song; our dancers then arrange special choreography to her song with easy-to-learn steps that all can learn together.
To complete your sugar plum fairy’s fantasy, this special dance culminates with the birthday girl riding high on our dancers’ shoulders, in the center of a circle of friends and family and spun round and around beneath the disco lights.

A Throne of Her Own
What could offer a more perfect vantage point for blowing out birthday cake candles than her very own princess throne? We mark the birthday girl’s place at the head of the table with her majesty’s very own kid-sized throne.

Princess Party Makeup
Arriving in ballgowns, as the party invitations heralded, royal guests are now ready for makeup, and princess party makeup is rich in fairy dust, which means that everything is very, very sparkly. Get ready to turn into a princess: Bibbity-bobbity-boo!
There’s spray on hair glitter and rub-on skin sparkles, dazzle dust for eyes and glistening gels for lips, multi-colored gems for ears and rhinestone ‘tattoos’ for cheeks and temples— all of which looks stunning in the disco lights.
Princess Party Favor Packages
Many hosts choose to ornament their guests with crowns, scepters, and royal baubles. Your princess can “crown” each guest as they arrive at the party—presenting each boy with a cool gold hat and each girl with a light-up tiara.
Our party favor packages for both boys and girls and chock full of princess-themed gooied with items like glass slippers, gold coins, glittery star wands and big purple scepters. Even the bags themselves are beautifully presented; each is imprinted with the birthday child's name and a little royal rap poem.

Princess Cakes, Castle Cakes, Crown Cakes, Doll Cakes
Among the host of choices are three-dimensional princess doll cakes (keep the doll, eat her cake skirt!) and three dimensional castle cakes. There’s also cakes with little royal rings embedded in each piece (eat carefully, surprise!) and princess photo cakes starring the birthday girl decked out as princess. (The entire top of this cake is a high-resolution, edible photograph; see invitations above for photo shoot details.)
What we love best are highly personal requests, such as when 6 year-old Julia asked us if she could be among her favorite princesses on her cake. With a full-body photo, we made a popsicle-sized version of Julia matching precisely the other princess dolls atop the cake.
For more about cakes, including pricing information, check out our cakes catalogue.

Professional princess (Costumed Performers)
Make it real: add a “REAL” princess to fly in! Snow White, Cinderella and Belle can lead dances. (Tell us your favorite song so we can choreograph something special.)
It’s also fun to have each guest “presented” to the princesses and royally crowned with a scepter (for the boys) and tiara (for the girls). Ample booking time is required.
(Need a “REAL” superhero for your young king? Invite our wacky, acrobatic Spiderman character!)

Now kids can have their own discothèque, a real glamorous club in the heart of midtown. We're one-stop shopping— great bar mitzvah entertainment, gourmet catering, dazzling dancers (hip-hop, Simcha, Broadway), fresh DJs (never phony), concert-quality audio, specialty lighting, theatrical sets, classy invitations, customized favors, top-notch videography, website design... everything! Right down to your personalized photo thank-you cards.
Also, take a look at our Bar and Bat Mitzvah Gallery to see some our celebrants from the past!

Family-owned business guarantees you personal attention by owner. For us, first and foremost is an event with sentiment and significance, but we also love to amaze. Want a Willy Wonka Wonderland? Even a giant taxidermic pachyderm! At your hall or our club.

Our Bar Mitzvah and Bat Mitzvah parties don't just feel like another spectacle.
Whether you want a less formal bar mitzvah especially for the kids, or a dazzling disco that goes all out, when we host we create an event that amazes and that also has sentiment and a real sense of significance.
How?
FROM LESS FORMAL TO ALL OUT—WE INDIVIDUALIZE IT
Perhaps you've found as I have that too many bar mitzvahs seek to outdo each other and they all wind up looking... alike. By individualizing the event we avoid this pitfall. Everything we do— from the decorations to the dedications, the songs to the souvenirs, and at the end your personalized thank-you cards— all work towards starring YOU. (After all, today YOU are the one and only reason to party!)
Our first step is always a one-on-one so that we get a feel for your family and the unique personality of the young man or woman whose turning point in life we're celebrating. Do you want an event that’s quirky and cool? Intimate and family-oriented? Elegant and extravagant? Or shall we together dream up the most bold, most original, most memorable party your friends have ever seen! (We especially love a challenge.)

WE MAKE IT REAL
If you dress up a hotel ballroom to look like a disco, it looks... well... like a clichéd bar mitzvah. We use a real New York club so that your event looks, sounds and feels real. And we all know how important real cool is when you're catering to 13 year olds!
Our dance leaders aren’t kiddie entertainers either. We use a dance troupe whose primary business is professional music videos (Blade Dance). And with a top-notch sound system, special effects lighting, and a few whimsical touches thrown in too (someone’s grandpa usually loves that big bubble machine!), we create an environment that’s ripe with contagious good energy.
LEAVE THE MERRY FOR CHRISTMAS
Our MC, DJ, and dancers never put on a phony face making the merriment feel forced. No other company emphasizes this crucial aspect of good party making: how important the right party leaders are to creating the mood of your party.
As a matter of fact, we'll bet that you can meet any one of our team members— from a food server to a dance leader— and from that meeting alone decide to go with us. That's how good our people are.
WHO ARE WE?
Our ringleader is Deb Wasser, born, raised, and bat mitzvahed in New York. For fifteen years Deb was a documentary TV producer working for ABC, CBS, and HBO. (Yes, we can get you the best-in-the-business videographers to make you a high-quality video or website photolog.)
Three years ago Deb started hosting Sunday afternoon balls for kids and adults in a real discothèque with the goal of creating something wholly unique— a club that was classy enough for adults, yet cool enough for kids. Deb’s Family Disco caught on like wildfire, especially for private affairs. In its first year of business the disco won best family activity and best birthday party in the New York Magazine’s BEST OF issues— and we’ve won it every year since!
Deb and the folks at Family Disco are the kind of people who get a kick out of choreographing special dances to your favorite songs, finding the very latest in chocolate flowing fountains and concocting wacky caricature cakes. So you just learn your Torah portion— and trust us to arrange all the fun stuff!
